Make yourself at home with us at Loughton – we welcome everyone to come, sit back and relax in the incredible surroundings. Loughton has a traditional Irish style, with roaring open fires, grand dining-rooms, and is perfect for intimate sojourns with family and friends. Relax in the exquisite drawing room in the company of friends, or retire after dinner for a game of backgammon.
Curl up in with a book in front of the fire in the Library, play billiards in the billiards room or discover former occupant, Dora Trench’s stunning artistry.
Rooms
Each of the suites, bedrooms and the adjoining Cottages have their own individual design and character that reflects the history of house. Every room preserves the original stately ambience, luxuriously comfortable, and the large windows fill the rooms with light. Many enjoy stunning views of the manicured gardens and Ballinlough Castle on the grounds.
There are two suites at Loughton – the Kings Suite, named after King George IV, a close acquaintance of Lord Bloomfield, whom it was originally decorated for. The second – Obama Suite, named after President Barrack Obama whose ancestors are from Moneygall.
