Getting around
Situated within Ireland’s Ancient East, and only an hours drive to the Wild Atlantic Way, we within easy reach of visit Lough Derg, The Devil’s Bit, Birr Castle, and the Rock of Cashel -all are within one hours drive. For boating and fishing, Lough Derg is on our doorstep just under 30 minutes away. We can arrange boat hire with prior notice.
A car is recommended as public transport is infrequent. There is a good service to Shannon and Dublin airports. Roscrea and Nenagh are 20 minutes by car.
We will arrange transport if needed.
Golf
We are spoilt for choice in the area with some of the best golf courses in Europe on our doorstep. Lahinch is one of the oldest links on Ireland’s west coast, and it frequently draws the world’s best golfers… often ahead of the Open Championship. With its hypnotic fairways weaving between medium sized dunes, its never ending variety and its exceptional (and tricky) greens that is little surprise.
